ALCOHOL - There is to be no drinking of alcohol by either Scouts, leaders, or parents attending a troop function. Furthermore, the smell of alcohol cannot be on anyone's breath. One part of the Scout Law is to keep oneself mentally awake and abstaining from alcohol reinforces this.

SMOKING - There is to be no smoking by Scouts at any time. Leaders and parents may smoke, but it must be done out of the sight and smell of the Scouts. There is to be no smoking in structures of any kind, including tents or shelters. If a leader or parent must smoke they should take it at least 100 yards away from the area where the Scouts are located. It is BSA policy that there is to be no smoking around or in the vicinity any youth.

BEHAVIOR - The following behavior by either Scouts, leaders, or attending adults will not be tolerated: hazing, harassing, bullying, name calling, touching or taking someone elses property, or the humiliating of another. There is to be no profanity by either Scouts, leaders, or adults. Parts of the Scout Law are that a Scout is courteous, kind, and cheerful. The above behavior is neither courteous nor kind, and no one is cheerful when they are being picked on. All Scouts are to feel safe when at a troop function, and this occurs when everyone is treated respectfully.

FUND RAISING - Fund raisers are important. The troop is able to buy supplies, advancements, and equipment (among other things) with moneys earned from fund raising. Dues alone are not enough to support a troop, so all Scouts will be expected to participate in any and all fund raisers the troop has. 50% of the funds will go to the troop, and 50% will go into the Scout's personal account within the troop. The Scout's personal accounts can be utilized for Scout materials such as a merit badge pamphlet or a lost advancement or it can be utilized to pay the fee for a particular trip the troop is going on. The Troop Committee must approve the usage of the funds before it can be used. There will be a special fund raiser held for Summer Camp so Scouts can earn their way to camp.
