COURTS OF HONOR - A Court of Honor is a special ceremony held two to four times a year to give Scouts the advancement(s) they have earned. One intent of the Court of Honor is to have the family recognize the achievements of the Scout and, in doing so, to build stronger family bonds. Parents of the Scouts are expected to attend the Courts of Honor. Family members and friends are also encouraged to attend.

SPECIAL PARENTS MEETINGS - Once or twice a year there will be a need for a special parents meeting. There will always be one for Summer Camp to inform parents of activities, fees, fee schedules, and general information. Others may occur for a special activity or outing. These meetings will always be important, therefore at least one parent is expected to attend any special meeting that is held.

UNIFORMS - Every Scout and leader will be expected to wear a full Class B uniform to all meetings and outings unless otherwise noted. New Scouts entering the troop have three months from the time of their registration to get their uniform needs met. Scouts will be provided their neckerchiefs by the troop. Besides the Class B uniform there is also a Class A uniform which will be worn to formal events like the Court of Honor or other formal ceremony. There is also a Class C uniform which will we utilize on certain occassions such as work parties or less formal events. (See the dress code sheet for what items will be needed for each class of uniform.)

CLEANLINESS - One part of the Scout Law is to be clean. Cleanliness is important especially when we are out with a group away from home. As the Scouts get older their bodies change, and it will be important for them to keep themselves clean. On weekend outings, Scouts will be expected to use deodorant. On longer trips they will be expected to bathe or shower. Older Scouts with facial hair will be expected to shave if they are not wearing a beard, mustache, or goatee.
