PROVISIONS - Besides the neckerchief being provided by the troop, each new Scout will receive the Boy Scout Handbook. When a Scout earns his first merit badge, he will also be provided with a merit badge sash. Please note that the sash will be given when the first merit badge is earned, not at the time of registration or the earning of any rank.

COSTS OTHER THAN REGISTRATION - There will be a dues fee every year of Scouting. This dues fee has to be paid at the time of registration or re-registration. Dues are used for awards and troop needs such as equipment and materials for meetings. If you cannot pay the dues fee, due to financial distress, please speak with the Scoutmaster. No boy will be turned away because his family has financial hardship. Other expenses may be incurred with camping trips. There will usually be a fee included with camping trips to help pay for the food that will have to be bought. Again, no Scout should miss an outing because of financial distress. Please speak with the Scoutmaster if your family is in need. All requests for aid will be kept absolutely confidential with only the family, Scoutmaster, and Troop Treasurer knowing of the need.

CAMPERSHIPS AVAILABLE - Boy Scout Resident Summer Camp is an enriching experience in which every Scout should participate. It is crucial to each Scouts success that they attend resident camp, with their troop, starting with their first year in Boy Scouts. It is important enough that camperships are made available from the General Nash District and also from the Cradle of Liberty Council. If a scout's family is in financial hardship and cannot afford the full camp fee to send the Scout to summer camp the Scoutmaster will assist the family in applying for a campership to assist with a portion of the summer camp fees. This matter will remain strictly confidential between the Scoutmaster, the family, and the Troop Treasurer. The scout is also expected to raise part of the fee by participating in fundraisers and other outside work to help earn their own way to camp.
