BOARD OF REVIEW PROCEDURES - When the scout is adequately prepared
for a Scoutmaster Conference he will make the request for the conference to the scoutmaster. The scoutmaster will set up a date and time for the conference. After a successful conference the scoutmaster will notify the Board that the scout is ready for a Board of Review. The scout will be notified as to the date and time of the Board of Review and will present himself to the Board in a full Class A uniform. COURT OF HONOR - When a scout has progressed in rank a Court of Honor will be scheduled and the scout and his parents will be notified as to date and time. Since rank advancement is an important part of scouting the scout and at least one of his parents are required to attend the Court of Honor. The scout will present himself to the Court of Honor in a full Class A uniform. TOTIN' CHIP - This certification grants a Scout the right to carry and use woods tools. The Scout must show his Scout leader, or someone designated by his leader, that he understands his responsibility while exercising this right. In order to be granted this certification the Scout must...... Woods tools are restricted to only the items as described in the BS Handbook. This does not include sheath knives, box cutters, razor blades, or razor knives. The Scout's "Totin' Rights" can be taken from him if he fails in his responsibility. Page 5 |
